Buccaneers sign Division III prospect Donteea Dye

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed wide receiver Donteea Dye, the Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman reports. The Division III receiver played at Heidelberg university, and was apparently impressive enough as a tryout player at rookie minicamp to earn a contract.

Dye had 116 catches for 2,298 yards and 26 touchdowns over his career, including 57 for 1,022 yards and 14 touchdown in his senior season. He also has some experience as a kick returner. At 6'0", 195 lbs. he has solid size. Combine that with a 4.45-second 40-yard dash, which he ran at his pro day, and you certainly see some athletic talent.
