Buccaneers receiver Murphy suffers torn ACL

Murphy, 28, has 41 catches for 578 yards since joining the Bucs before the 2014 season. Previously, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Florida product had spent time with the Oakland Raiders (2009-2011), Carolina Panthers (2012) and New York Giants (2013).

The injury means Donteea Dye will slide into the No. 3 wide receiver role. The 6-foot, 195-pound Division III Heidelberg College product was promoted from the Bucs' practice squad on Oct. 6 and had a 7-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Jameis Winston in the second quarter on Sunday during his NFL debut.
