The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have re-signed linebacker Josh Keyes, placing rookie linebacker Devante Bond on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
Bond was the team’s fifth-round pick this year, but has yet to play a game. He missed the first two games with a hamstring injury from which he appeared to be recovered, until he missed yesterday’s practice. He’s now been placed on injured reserve, which suggests this setback was particularly serious.
Bond played his college football at Oklahoma, and the Bucs were planning to use him as a core special teamer, and putting him in on the field in some (blitz) defensive packages.
