The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their fifth straight game, with the Carolina Panthers beating them, 22-19.
The Bucs were the better team for most of the very low-scoring and field goal-dominated game. They led 19-15 with three minutes remaining, and that significantly understated their dominance, particularly in the second half.
Jameis Winston had a particularly outstanding game, despite an offensive line that was barely holding it together. Winston completed 21 of 27 passes for 359 yards and one touchdown. He did fumble the ball three times, although one of those appeared to be the center’s fault as it occurred at the snap.
