The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially signed Gosder Cherilus as a (short-term?) replacement for Demar Dotson, who's out for up to half the season with a sprained MCL. Cherilus has been a starter at right tackle for seven seasons, playing in 107 total games. He has plenty of experience, but struggled last year in part due to injuries.
To make room for Cherilus, the Bucs waived fullback/tight end Evan Rodriguez -- a move we could have seen coming given that Rodriguez played just three snaps on Saturday, all of them on special teams.
