Good morning and happy Victory Monday, Tampa Bay! Your Buccaneers are 5-7 and no longer in last place in the NFC South!
In a 24-17 win over division rival Carolina, Jameis Winston became Tampa Bay’s all-time leader in touchdown completions and the defense did something it hadn’t done in almost five seasons — intercept four passes and record four sacks. Safety Andrew Adams, whom the Giants cut before the season, intercepted three of those passes, tying a team record. And he did it despite playing less than half of the Bucs’ defensive snaps. It was an impressive and relentless effort from a rag-tag group of backups.
