Louis Murphy wasn’t the best receiver on this team, but he was a reliable and consistent weapon for Buccaneers quarterbacks for the last two seasons. Murphy suffered a torn ACL in November last year after only six games played.
In his 17 career games with the Bucs, Murphy has 578 yards on 41 receptions and two touchdowns. Given the poor play thus far by Vincent Jackson, Murphy can certainly provide a spark for this offense moving forward in to the long remaining stretch.
Murphy spoke about the injury with the media Monday and how anxious he was to return to the field;
