The Buccaneers were hoping to keep linebacker Kwon Alexander around. But on Monday, those hopes diminished quickly.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Alexander is heading to the west coast.
The reported deal carries $27-million in guarantees.
Alexander struggled with injuries often throughout his career in Tampa Bay. He missed 14 games the last two seasons, including 10 last season due to tearing his ACL.
The “heart of the defense” was voted as a team captain last season by his Buccaneers teammates.
