The Tampa Bay Buccaneers brought in Paxton Lynch for a workout on Wednesday, according to Trevor Sikkema of PewterReport.com. The former first-round pick was cut by the Denver Broncos before the regular season.
Lynch was the 26th overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft. He started in four games during his time in Denver, he was 1-3, with four touchdowns, four interceptions and a 61.7 completion percentage.
Although he didn’t show much promise in his short time in Denver, his release, this season was a bad sign. For a team to give up on him in just a few years is extremely telling.
