The Buccaneers’ release of running back Shaun Wilson a week ago led some to wonder whether the team was on the verge of making a major acquisition.
Nah. They just signed an offensive lineman.
After adding center/guard Josh LeRibeus, who participated in the team’s minicamp workouts earlier this month as a tryout player, Tampa Bay’s roster now stands at 90 players. Ninety players is the maximum number of players an NFL team can have on its roster at this time of year.
LeRibeus played in 28 games for Washington from 2012 to 2015 and in 22 games for New Orleans the past two seasons.
