The Tampa Bay Buccaneers expect to activate running back Charles Sims from injured reserve, head coach Dirk Koetter said today. The Bucs designated Sims as their injured reserve player who would return a few weeks ago.
The Bucs placed Sims on injured reserve after four games, with an eye to having him return late in the season if the team was still competitive. Turns out they are, so the team’s best receiving back will come back and play. Sims has been practicing for a couple of weeks now, but was by NFL rule not allowed to return until now.
