After attending Woodlands High school in Pittsburgh for four years, Sanders was highly recruited by Penn State. During his four years at Woodland, Sanders finished with 4,573 yards on 508 carries and 59 touchdowns. He ranks fifth in WPIAL class AAAA history with 4,573 yards. He was also named captain for all four of his years. He was the No.1 ranked running back prospect recruit out of Pennsylvania.
Transitioning to college, Sanders didn’t get his real opportunity until 2018, in large part because he was the backup to now NFL star Saquon Barkley. When he finally got his chance in his Junior season, Sanders didn’t disappoint.
