Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter will land on his feet. He has become a front-runner for the Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator position, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Koetter was let go by the Buccaneers just hours after their Week 17 loss to Atlanta. He spent three seasons with Tampa Bay. He accumulated a 19-29 record and was unable to snap the Bucs’ playoff drought.
A return to Atlanta makes plenty of sense. Koetter spent three seasons with the Falcons as their OC before he agreed to a deal with the Bucs for the same role in 2015.
