The Buccaneers picked up their first win of the preseason on Thursday night by defeating the Jaguars, 12-8, in Jacksonville. The two teams held joint training camp practices on Monday and Tuesday leading up to the game.
Several players stood out on both sides of the ball for Tampa Bay, including quarterback Jameis Winston. The Buccaneers’ quarterback completed 21 of 29 passes for 196 yards, and three of his eight incompletions reached his receivers’ hands. Winston connected with 10 different pass-catchers in two quarters of play.
Doug Martin also shined, scoring the Buccaneers' only touchdown when he found the end zone on a two-yard run in the first quarter.
