Training camp hasn’t even started and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are already making some roster moves. The team today claimed cornerback Daniel Davie off waivers, and waived Joel Ross, according to the NFL’s daily transaction list.
Davie was an undrafted free agent today who spent the offseason with the Indianapolis Colts so far. Apparently, the Bucs like his talent enough to add him to reasonably deep group of cornerbacks. He has an uphill battle to fight to make the roster, but he has one advantage: at 6’1”, he’s taller than the vast majority of the cornerbacks currently on the roster.
