Buccaneers can’t escape the injury bug as Jordan Whitehead is latest to potentially miss significant time

The Buccaneers just got cornerback Jamel Dean back on defense after missing several weeks due to injury. Now they will lose yet another piece of their defensive backfield following their 30-7 win over the New York Giants on Sunday.

Veteran safety Jordan Whitehead was injured while making a tackle on New York quarterback Tommy DeVito, and it’s an injury NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says could sideline him for the rest of the season.

“Jordan Whitehead is feared to have torn his pec, an injury that would end his season, sources say. He’s getting an MRI to confirm the diagnosis.
