The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off one of their worst performances in a while, which means it's time to add some depth to the roster. That's what they're doing today by signing center Joe Hawley, first reported by Adam Caplan and since confirmed by Rick Stroud and others.
Hawley was cut by the Atlanta Falcons after losing his starting job this preseason. He's a sixth-year veteran who played under Dirk Koetter for three years, which explains the team's interest in him.
Despite everyone's over-the-top hatred for Evan Smith, Hawley won't replace him.
