The injury bug continues to plague the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this time in the form of backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert. Against the Cleveland Browns last night, the quarterback fell face first on a scramble, and seemingly driving his shoulder into the turf.
Gabbert had been working with the second string offense this preseason and running the offense well. In his absence, Ryan Griffin will now be running the second team for the Buccaneers, but good news for Tampa Bay is that Griffin has been efficient during his time on the field as well.
Thus far in the preseason, the Buccaneers’ backup quarterback Gabbert was 15/25 for 125 yards while not throwing a touchdown.
