For the first time since Jan. 6, 2008, the Buccaneers had a playoff game to play on Saturday night. They were just outside of the nation’s capital at FedEx Field looking to pick up their first postseason victory since Super Bowl XXXVII as they squared off with the Washington Football Team.
Tampa Bay came in at 11-5, riding a four-game winning streak that saw them average 37 points per game. The red-hot offense got some positive news on Saturday morning, too, when it was reported that Mike Evans was expected to play despite hyperextending his knee in last Sunday’s regular season finale against Atlanta.
