The dog days of the offseason are finally over, preseason football is here and while it doesn’t measure up to the regular season, some football is better than no football. On Thursday night at 7 p.m., Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia plays host to the preseason opener between the Buccaneers and Eagles.
After two weeks of practice, position battles will continue to play out for Tampa Bay in game action. The center position is up for grabs between Evan Smith and Joe Hawley, Adam Humphries and Cameron Brate will look to hold on to their recently awarded starting positions, special teams battles will continue to unfold and bubble players will be looking to make an impression on their coaches.
