The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced today the signing of veteran running back Giovani Bernard and the re-signing of defensive tackle Steve McLendon.
Bernard (5-9, 205) comes to Tampa Bay after spending his first eight NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals (2013-20). Since entering the league as a second-round selection (No. 37 overall) by Cincinnati in the 2013 NFL Draft, Bernard has amassed 3,697 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns on 921 career carries (4.0 avg.) to go along with 342 receptions for 2,867 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has appeared in 115 career games, making 30 starts.
