One day after being waived by the Indianapolis Colts cornerback Daniel Davie finds himself headed to Tampa Bay after the undrafted rookie was claimed on Wednesday.
Coming from Nebraska Davie was a two-year starter for the Cornhuskers and had his best season in 2014 as a junior starting all 13 games that season.
After a senior season hampered by dueling groin and hand injuries there wasn’t much doubt he’d go undrafted, but an impressive pro day including rumblings of a 4.3 40-yard time landed him a chance with the Colts following the draft.
In order to make room on the camp roster the Bucs waived cornerback Joel Ross who had joined the team after some time with the Dallas Cowboys.
