Baker Mayfield did well in the latest stop on his strange NFL journey.
After signing a one-year deal worth up to $8.5 million with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2023 season, Mayfield had perhaps the best season of his career. The year after Tom Brady retired, Mayfield threw for 4,044 yards with a completion percentage of 64.3, with 23 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. The Buccaneers rewarded him with a three-year extension worth up to $100 million this March.
It seems Mayfield's career is back to the level of his 2020 season, where he led the Cleveland Browns to an 11-5 record and a wild-card win.
