TAMPA, Fla. -- Left guard Logan Mankins was a limited participant in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' practice Thursday, an improvement in his status after he sustained a groin injury on Oct. 7.
Mankins' streak of 40 consecutive games played ended when he missed the Bucs' victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5, with second-year lineman Kevin Pamphile starting in his place. Mankins did not participate in practice Wednesday, but Thursday's development served as positive news for coach Lovie Smith, who considers Mankins to be getting better each day.
"Arrow going up," Smith said.
