The Tampa Bay Buccaneers chose six team captains for the 2017 season on Monday morning. Three of the six will carry that honor for the first time in their respective NFL careers.
As determined by player votes, the Buccaneers' offensive team captains will be quarterback Jameis Winston and wide receiver Mike Evans, while the captains on defense will be Gerald McCoy, Lavonte David and Kwon Alexander. Josh Robinson was selected as the special teams captain.
Evans and Alexander get the "C" on their jerseys for the first time in their fourth and third seasons, respectively.
