You’re seeing it all over the interwebs, stories of Buccaneers left tackle Tristan Wirfs being a no-show at Tampa Bay’s offseason voluntary workouts. So naturally folks try to put pieces of a puzzle together that isn’t really a puzzle.
Thoughts of which team could target Wirfs, analyzing a discord between two sides that isn’t really there, and so on. But what is missing and being overlooked in all this is that Wirfs has actually been working out at the Bucs facility this offseason — just not joining in on the minicamp workouts.
Then of course there is the obvious from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times, noting that these workouts are in fact voluntary, and the Buccaneers are not concerned with Wirfs’ “absence” if that’s what folks want to call it.
