Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse women's basketball coach Quentin Hillsman took note of how the Orange men's team recently played former Big East rivals Connecticut, Georgetown and St. John's all within a 16-day stretch in December.
It got Hillsman thinking about maybe putting his program on a parallel path, albeit one a lot less storied.
How about slotting the juggernaut UConn women back on the regular schedule for the first time since both were members of the Big East in 2012-13?
Hillsman wasn't making any promises, but his track record indicates he welcomes non-conference challenges.
