Syracuse, N.Y. - Syracuse deployed its press Wednesday night.
The Orange stationed long, mobile freshman Marek Dolezaj on Southern New Hampshire's considerably smaller inbounder and immediately reaped basketball dividends. Syracuse forced 15 first-half turnovers, scored 22 points off those Penmen mistakes and broke open what had been a somber, slow start to the Orange's first exhibition of the season.
"I thought we did a good job with our press. Sped up the game a little, forced some turnovers," Boeheim said. "We've worked on it and I thought we did some really good things there."
Syracuse trailed 13-10 to the Division II team to start Wednesday's game.
