Kalamazoo, Mich. -- During the moment Jamal Custis was making the best catch of his life, he wasn't thinking. In fact, he didn't even realize what he did until he returned to the sideline.
That's when teammates told him. The 6-foot-5 redshirt senior was breaking on an out route toward the left sideline when he flipped his hips, reached his left arm back toward the field and palmed an Eric Dungey pass with one hand.
Then Custis stopped, stiff-armed flying-by Western Michigan defensive back A.J. Thomas and slid between two more defenders into the end zone.
"I still can't believe I caught that," Custis said.
