Which Syracuse basketball players should have their jerseys honored?

Syracuse University has honored the jerseys of 12 former players by hanging them in the Carrier Dome's rafters. That's a very small number for a variety of reasons.

Syracuse fielded its first men's basketball team in 1900. Since then, Syracuse has had six Final Four teams, three Hall of Famers and 45 All-Americans. Other schools have honored far more former players, including North Carolina (45), Kentucky (43), Kansas (29) and Connecticut (20).

The 12 Syracuse players whose jerseys hang in the Carrier Dome's rafters are: Vic Hanson, Dave Bing, Pearl Washington, Sherman Douglas, Derrick Coleman, Rony Seikaly, Billy Owens, Wilmeth Sidat-Singh, Billy Gabor, Carmelo Anthony, Roosevelt Bouie and Louis Orr.
