Syracuse, N.Y. -- Tyler Lydon will take the first steps toward his NBA career Saturday, when he and his family board a flight to Denver.
The Nuggets selected Lydon with the 24th pick of Thursday's NBA Draft. He did not work out for Denver, which traded down from No. 13 and swapped picks with Utah to end up with Lydon at 24.
He will join a franchise that made a draft day deal for Trey Lyles, the former Kentucky star who was the 12th pick of the 2015 draft. Lyles, like Lydon, is a long forward. Both are 21 years old.
