Charlottesville, Va. -- In a battle of two of the nation's top defenses, the Virginia Cavaliers' Pack-line defense got the better of Syracuse's 2-3 zone.

The 3rd-ranked Cavaliers held off a desperate Syracuse rally for a 66-61 victory over the Orange at the sold-out John Paul Jones Arena.
