MINNEAPOLIS – Former Syracuse defensive back Jordan Martin signed a free-agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, April 10. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
A graduate transfer from the University of Toledo, Martin played in eight games, starting five at free safety, with the Orange in 2017. He carded 25 tackles, three pass breakups and one forced fumble before undergoing season-ending surgery on his wrist. Martin later earned an invitation to the annual East-West Shrine Game.
Martin was also a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, presented to the nation's most outstanding football scholar-athlete, while with the Orange.
