Clemson, S.C. -- The first true game-winning buzzer-beater for the Syracuse basketball team since Tyler Ennis required bursts of Tyler Lydon's play-making, Tyus Battle's confidence, a dose of innovation and a Clemson miscue, all within a span of just 7 seconds.
The Orange earned an 82-81 win over Clemson on Tuesday thanks to Battle's 3-pointer with the clock at zero, the team's third-straight come-from-behind, pull-it-out-of-the fire, cardiac 'Cuse victory.
The play did not go as it was drawn up, but the result was a perfect portrait, with Battle's 3-pointer swishing smoothly through the basket.
Ideally, it would have been Lydon, not Battle, who took the final shot.
