After dipping his toes briefly into the NBA waters last spring, Tyus Battle opted to skip the pros for at least one more year and return to the Syracuse basketball team for his junior season.
By returning to the Orange, Battle could improve his game and increase his stock for the 2019 NBA Draft. So far this season, Syracuse’s junior guard appears to be well on his way to becoming a first-round draft selection next summer.
After a bit of a rough start when he had to fill in at the point for the injured Frank Howard, Battle has returned to his natural position at the two-guard spot and his performance has skyrocketed ever since.
