New York -- In his first year out of college, Trevor Cooney played alongside a former No. 1 NBA Draft pick on one of Spain's top teams, was released as a midseason scapegoat in Germany and played a game in his home state of Delaware as part of a rotating cast of characters in the D-League.
"It was very interesting," Cooney said. "All over the place."
Cooney, 24, just one year removed from a Final Four run with Syracuse, began his professional career with Saski Baskonia, one of the top teams in Spain and a regular competitor for the EuroLeague championship.
