Syracuse, N.Y. — The gray-haired man can be seen on the sideline of any Syracuse football game, usually away from the benches, always keeping an eye toward the action.
His cardinal purpose is making sure a player is healthy enough to return to play — in a game or for the rest of their career at Syracuse.
Dr. James Tucker is the Fayetteville-based family doctor who serves as Syracuse University's team physician. As part of that role, he wields the power to determine whether athletes can continue playing their sport at Syracuse University.
