On Thursday night at NBT Stadium, the former Syracuse forwards attempted, with their former Syracuse basketball brethren, to throw out first pitches before the Syracuse Chiefs played the Louisville Bats.
They are better at basketball.
That's why fans formed a long line Thursday to secure autographs from Boeheim's Army. The nucleus of the team leaves this morning for Brooklyn, where they will be joined by Demetris Nichols, who left for New York a day early, newest team member Arinze Onuaku and Hakim Warrick.
