Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Basketball Tournament announced its field today, making official the participation of Boeheim's Army in the $2 million winner-take-all summer tournament.
The Army, a team comprised of former Syracuse basketball players, will play its first game the weekend of July 8 at Philadelphia University. Boeheim's Army competes in the Northeast Region, where it could face two teams of familiar faces and another team that boasts a big man with Orange pedigree.
Team members Eric Devendorf, Scoop Jardine, Brandon Triche, James Southerland, C.J. Fair, Donte Greene, Rick Jackson and DaShonte Riley are expected to meet in Syracuse for training camp on or near July 1.
