Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse learned a lot about its press on Tuesday night. None of it was particularly good.
The Orange practiced its press against Le Moyne in its final exhibition this season in the Carrier Dome. SU coach Jim Boeheim has said he wants to press more this year to boost the game's tempo and take advantage of his deep roster.
And though SU defeated the Dolphins easily, 97-64, the outcome revealed a flaw in the Orange's ability to smother the perimeter in transition against a small team with capable shooters.
