Syracuse, N.Y. -- USA East Coast, a team made up of current college players including Syracuse's Matthew Moyer, lost to the Venezuelan National team 70-56 on Friday in Madrid, Spain.
Moyer, a 6-foot-8 forward, scored seven points and grabbed five rebounds in the loss to Venezuela. Moyer's point total seems low, but he was the second-highest scorer for USA East Coast in the low-scoring affair. Xavier's Sean O'Mara led the team with nine points. Notre Dame's Austin Torres had a team-high seven rebounds.
Venezuela opened up a 20-3 lead over USA East Coast to the start the game.
