Syracuse’s Kamilla Cardoso & Priscilla Williams named to ESPN’s Newcomer Impact Rankings

Syracuse Orange women’s basketball freshman Kamilla Cardoso and Priscilla Williams were tapped as one of the top 50 newcomers poised to make the biggest impact on the 2021 college basketball season, according to ESPN’s Newcomer Impact Rankings.

Cardoso, the highest-ranked player in program history, came in at No. 7 on the list. She is the second-highest ranked true freshman on the list. The Brazil native is ranked No. 5 nationally and No. 1 in her position by espnW. Cardoso also had offers from Connecticut, Ohio State, Mississippi State, and South Carolina. Here is what the Newcomer Impact Rankings had to say about Cardoso:

“This marks the second time in three years that coach Quentin Hillsman landed a pair of top-10 recruits, with the 6-foot-7 Brazilian-born Cardoso quite literally the new centerpiece alongside similarly well-regarded guard Priscilla Williams.
