Freshman Nicole Levy scored a season-high four goals to lead the No. 3/3 Syracuse women's lacrosse team to a 16-9 victory at Harvard on Wednesday.
The Orange improve to 7-2 this season, while the Crimson goes to 4-2.
Syracuse jumped out to an early lead with three straight goals to start the game. Back-to-back goals by Harvard cut the advantage to one before freshman Natalie Wallon scored on an assist from senior Halle Majorana to spark the Orange on a 5-0 scoring run in just more than three minutes of play.
Levy, Majorana and senior Kelly Cross scored during the run, which was capped by redshirt sophomore Taylor Gait's unassisted goal at the 11:59 mark to give Syracuse an 8-2 advantage
Harvard briefly halted the run before Syracuse netted three goals in the final 4:57 of the half, including senior Ella Thorpe's goal with eight seconds on the clock, to take an 11-4 lead into the locker room at halftime.
