Syracuse women's lacrosse uses strong second half to race past Harvard

The No. 7/8 Syracuse women's lacrosse team went on an 8-2 scoring run to start the second half to pull away from Harvard in a 20-13 victory on Friday.

The game was played at Tierney Field at the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.

Junior Nicole Levy led the Orange offense with four points. Levy, senior Kelzi Van Atta, sophomore Emily Hawryschuk and freshman Sam Swart all recorded hat tricks as 11 different players scored at least one goal in the victory. Keeley MacAfee and Robyn White had three goals each for Harvard.

After Harvard (3-3) tallied two of the first three goals of the second half to cut Syracuse's lead to 11-9, senior Riley Donahue found the back of the net for her first goal of the day.
