Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse women's lacrosse team is ranked No. 9 in Inside Lacrosse's Face-Off Yearbook preseason poll.
The Orange returns four of its top five scorers and five starters on defense from last year's squad that posted a 15-7 record.
Syracuse is one of three ACC teams ranked in the top 10 in the preseason poll. North Carolina is No. 3, while Boston College is right behind at No. 4. Defending national champion Maryland took the top spot in the rankings.
