The United Women's Lacrosse League had its inaugural draft last night and six Syracuse players were selected.
History was made last night when the United Women's Lacrosse League (UWLX), the world's first professional women's lacrosse league had its inaugural draft. Syracuse was well represented as six former Orange players were drafted.
Nearly 250 players registered for the draft and 40 were selected to the league's four teams. The first teams in the league are the Baltimore Ride, Long Island Sound, Philadelphia Force, and the Boston Storm.
The players are all college graduates, no current college seniors were drafted.
