Syracuse women's lacrosse needs late rally to beat Albany, 14-12

The Syracuse women's lacrosse team needed a pair of late goals to beat Albany, 14-12, on Sunday at the Carrier Dome.

With the game tied at 12 and just more than 7 minutes left, Erica Bodt and Riley Donahue scored for the Orange. Syracuse led 12-8 before the Great Danes scored four unanswered goals.

Loren Ziegler, among those honored on Senior Day, led Syracuse with five goals. Kayla Treanor added three goals and four assists.

Syracuse (11-6) had lost four of five before beating Louisville on Thursday. The Orange is now 9-0 all-time against Albany.

Albany (11-3), which had won three games in a row, has now lost all of its games against top 10 programs (North Carolina and Stony Brook are the others).
