Syracuse women’s lacrosse: Megan Carney out for season with torn ACL

On Monday, SU athletics announced that star junior attacker Megan Carney of the Syracuse Orange women’s lacrosse team will miss the rest of the 2021 season after suffering a tear to the ACL in her left knee during the Orange’s game against Boston College last Thursday.

Carney was having her best season yet in a ‘Cuse uniform, having recorded 69 points on 49 goals and 20 assists in 13 games this season. She is currently leading the team in goals and is second in points, and was on pace to join some of the most prolific scoring seasons in program history before the injury.
