North Carolina scored nine straight goals to end the game to overcome a two-goal deficit and defeat No. 10 Syracuse, 18-11, in the championship game of the ACC Women's Lacrosse Tournament in Richmond, Va.
"We got off to a good start, we were putting the ball into the back of the net," said Syracuse head coach Gary Gait. "It was a battle for a while. It was a game of runs and we didn't have an answer for the last one."
The Orange (15-6) jumped out to an early lead, scoring the first four goals of the game.
