Syracuse, N.Y. -- The Syracuse women's lacrosse team squeaked into its seventh-consecutive NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
The Orange will face Princeton (12-5) in the first round on Friday in Chestnut Hill, Mass. The winner of that game faces No. 4 seed Boston College next Sunday.
The Orange had not missed the NCAA Tournament since 2011 but was in peril this season after a 9-9 mark overall and 1-6 record in the ACC. The overall wins total is the lowest 11-year tenure of head coach Gary Gait.
Syracuse also ended the season with a thud, dropping a 21-12 decision to North Carolina in the first round of the ACC Tournament.
